Job summary

Cognizant is seeking an Associate Director, HR Deal Lead to drive the people workstream across strategic bids and employee transitions, from early design through contracting and handover. You will collaborate across Sales, Solutioning, Commercial, Finance, Legal, Delivery, and regional HR teams, supporting outsourcing opportunities across the Americas and beyond.

You will report to a Director or Senior Director and may travel internationally; you will lead HR input into people solution design,

Qualifications

• Experience leading an HR deal workstream, including end-to-end people activities supporting outsourcing engagements.
• Experience in transformation, employee relations, or workforce transition, with success leading complex workstreams.
• Strong practical knowledge of employment law.
• Experience in client-facing delivery, risk assessment, contractual review, and cross-functional stakeholder management.
• Commercial acumen with a solution-focused approach.
• Credibility with senior stakeholders, strong judgment and risk awareness.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills and negotiation.
• Strong program management skills amid ambiguity and deadlines.
• Collaborative, resilient across cultures.

Responsibilities

• Lead HR input into people solution design for outsourcing pursuits with cross-functional teams.
• Assess regional regulatory and employee-transfer implications; define transfer, rebadge, rehire, restructuring approaches.
• Lead people due diligence; translate data into risks, assumptions, liabilities, and mitigation actions; develop HR cost inputs for deal pricing and approvals.
• Review people-related provisions in master services agreements and SOWs with Legal and Commercial teams; present to senior stakeholders.
• Establish strong client engagement and lead presentations, due diligence, design, town halls, and Day One activities; manage end-to-end transitions.
