Job summary

Hitachi Energy is seeking a Senior HR Business Partner to serve as a trusted advisor to leaders across multiple manufacturing locations. You will partner with senior leadership to drive business performance through innovative people strategies, organizational effectiveness, workforce planning, and employee engagement initiatives.

You will enable growth by providing strategic HR consulting, leadership coaching, and advocacy for HR programs.

Qualifications

• 12–15 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR practices.
• Experience partnering with union leadership and handling grievances.

Responsibilities

• Partner with senior leaders to develop and execute HR strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Provide coaching on leadership effectiveness and employee engagement.
• Lead performance management processes including goal setting and reviews.
• Utilize HR data analytics to identify trends and inform decisions.
• Support organizational design, workforce planning, and restructuring.
• Champion HR programs and labor relations across multiple sites.

You will play a key role in enabling business growth by providing strategic HR consulting, leadership coaching, and advocacy for HR programs and processes. How You'll Make an Impact

• Partner with senior leaders to develop and execute HR strategies aligned with business objectives and growth plans.

• Utilize HR data and analytics to identify trends, measure outcomes, and support business decision-making.

• Champion HR programs, policies, and best practices across multiple manufacturing locations.
• Foster positive employee and labor relations while supporting a respectful and inclusive workplace culture.
• Build collaborative relationships with local and international union leadership to address concerns and resolve disputes effectively.

Your Background

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• 12 to 15 years of progressive Human Resources experience.
• Strong knowledge of employment laws, HR practices, and organizational development principles.
• Experience supporting multi-site, multi-state manufacturing operations.
• Demonstrated success partnering with union leadership, handling grievances, and achieving effective dispute resolution outcomes.
