Job summary

Columbia Technology Partners is seeking a Technical/Functional Expert (HPC) to provide advanced Tier 4 support for high-performance computing environments. This role centers on performance optimization and resolving complex issues across large-scale HPC infrastructures.

The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in HPC, file systems, and distributed computing, supporting mission-critical environments and ensuring reliable performance across data-intensive platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field; substitution: five additional years of experience allowed.
• 10+ years in large, complex IT environments delivering advanced technical expertise.
• DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification or equivalent.
• Experience supporting HPC systems and high-performance file systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier 4 support for HPC environments.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex HPC issues.
• Configure and optimize HPC file systems (XFS, GPFS, Lustre).
• Manage HPC cluster monitoring, failover, and availability tools.
• Administer distributed computing frameworks like SLURM and LSF.
• Maintain RedHat and SUSE Linux-based systems.
• Analyze performance and implement infrastructure improvements.
• Support testing and validation of system changes and upgrades.
