Job summary

The role supports PARCC and Penn HPC services with GPU/CPU nodes, storage, and networking expertise. You will collaborate with researchers and SAS Computing to ensure reliable HPC operations, on-call coverage, and ongoing improvements to HPC services while supporting

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science and 2 to 3 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
• Proficiency in Linux OSes (Ubuntu preferred) and advanced Linux scripting.
• Experience with SLURM, HPC resources, and networking in HPC environments.
• Knowledge of storage solutions, backups, and configuration management tooling.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and manage Linux systems.
• Develop shell and Python scripts.
• Configure and optimize SLURM job scheduling.
• Install, configure, and maintain software and HPC hardware.
• Monitor services and perform routine maintenance.
• Coordinate hardware procurement and installations.
• Provide Linux end-user support and SAS researchers' needs.
