Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) seeks a Senior Worldwide Specialist Solutions Architect focused on HPC to design cloud-based HPC solutions for customers, including CAE, Weather and AI/ML workloads. You will guide architecture decisions, engage with customers and partners, and translate complex technical challenges into scalable cloud architectures.

The role emphasizes collaboration across AWS teams, thought leadership, and delivering measurable business value through HPC deployments on AWS.

Qualifications

• Experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences, including executives or clients.
• Deep HPC experience for workloads in CAE, Weather, oil & gas, automotive/aerospace, financial services or pharmaceuticals.
• Experience architecting an HPC system and infrastructure with schedulers (Slurm, Torque, Symphony or GridServer) and parallel file systems (Lustre, IBM Spectrum Scale).
• Experience in deployment, tuning, benchmarking and management of HPC technologies in a multi-user environment.
• Deep GPU knowledge in HPC and/or AI/ML frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Design Customer Solutions collaborating with AWS teams to architect HPC solutions leveraging AWS Services.
• Engage with Solution Architects, Account Managers, Professional Services, and Partners to define an HPC Engagement strategy for key accounts and territories.
• Provide thought leadership through external publications, whitepapers, and internal training of AWS staff.
• Support customer success in building and migrating applications, software, and services on AWS.
• Assist solution providers with technical and business strategies.
• Share best-practice knowledge among the worldwide AWS solution architect community.
• Understand AWS market segments and industry verticals.
• Understand and exploit internal business support systems.
