Job summary

The San Francisco Compute Company is seeking an experienced infrastructure engineer to design and deploy HPC/GPU clusters globally. You will participate in on-call rotations, deploy new environments, fix issues across hardware, OS, drivers, and networking, and lean into automation to enable deployments at scale.

You will mentor junior engineers and help shape our culture in a fast-growing, mission-driven team.

Qualifications

• 5+ years designing and scaling HPC/GPU clusters in production.
• Deep understanding of GPUs, NICs, PCIe, memory, thermals and power.
• Experience debugging across hardware, OS, drivers, and networking.
• Automation of fleet operations and infrastructure-as-code adoption.

Responsibilities

• Architect and deploy HPC/GPU clusters globally.
• Participate in on-call rotation and provide timely incident response.
• Develop and maintain deployment environments and runbooks.
• Lead automation to scale deployments and reduce manual toil.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team culture.
