Job summary

5C is seeking a Senior Cloud System Administrator to support large-scale HPC/AI infrastructure across data centers and cloud environments in the United States. You will lead complex incident resolution, manage GPU clusters, and ensure reliability through Linux-based operations.

You will work with Network Engineering, Data Center Ops, and vendors to restore services, optimize performance, and drive continuous improvement in production HPC environments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Linux systems administration in HPC/data center environments.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise server hardware and bare‑metal compute systems.
• Experience with NVIDIA GPU infrastructure, drivers, and management tools.
• Strong troubleshooting across hardware, firmware, OS, and networking.

Responsibilities

• Administer, maintain, and troubleshoot Linux-based HPC/AI compute environments across bare-metal, virtualization, containerization, and cloud platforms.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot NVIDIA GPU infrastructure, drivers, CUDA, firmware, and supporting software.
• Manage firmware across servers, networking, storage, and GPU infrastructure; use out-of-band management tools.
• Troubleshoot high-performance networking (Ethernet, InfiniBand, RDMA) and storage for HPC workloads.
• Lead incident response, conduct root-cause analysis, and maintain runbooks and change records.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote documentation standards and best practices.
• Collaborate with Network Engineering, Data Center Ops, and vendors during deployments and outages.
