CAMBA Legal Services in Brooklyn seeks a Supervising Attorney (Housing Unit) to lead a team of attorneys and staff in civil housing matters. You will supervise, oversee intake, and manage litigation, providing strategic guidance and ensuring high-quality client representation.

The candidate must have a JD and NY Bar admission, with at least three years in housing law and proven supervisory experience. Excellent communication and litigation skills are essential, as is a commitment to public

Qualifications

JD in law and admitted to NY Bar in good standing.
Minimum three years in housing law or related field; supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead direct reports and supervise staff and other supervising attorneys.
Conduct client intake and assessment of cases; interview clients and witnesses as appropriate.
Prepare legal documents, conduct research, negotiate settlements, and file motions in housing proceedings.
Represent clients in courts and administrative agencies; provide advice and counsel on housing litigation.
Maintain accurate client files and up-to-date case notes; communicate with clients, staff, funders and collaborators.
Participate in trainings, meetings and provide information for reports to management and funders.
