The role covers floor care, snow removal, basic maintenance tasks, and setup for programs and events, with a flexible schedule including weekends and possible overtime. Experience in a similar setting is preferred; candidate must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and hold a valid Massachusetts driver's license.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year work experience in general labor or semi-skilled position in a multi-family or commercial property.
• Knowledge of basic skills in carpentry, electrical, plumbing, & painting.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds safely.
• Must have a valid Massachusetts driver's license.
• Basic computer skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• General upkeep and cleanliness of buildings: mopping, vacuuming, shampooing, waxing, and buffing floors.
• Monitors & maintains cleanliness of exterior building and grounds.
• Performs snow removal from walkways, steps, and parking lots; salt and sand areas as instructed.
• Performs program and special function room set-ups as scheduled.
• Performs basic maintenance under supervisor: install disposals, patch/paint walls, change locks, repair equipment, replace bulbs.
• Monitors and handles building compacting machines and containers as needed.
• Assists with routine HUD/MHFA apartment inspections with supervisor.
• Assists with turnovers in removing furniture/debris for turnover procedures.
• Reports unsafe practices to management to ensure safety and compliance.
• May serve as Maintenance Monitor with external contractors in tenant units.
