Job summary

Kiawah Island Golf Resort is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of the Housekeeping Department, ensuring top cleanliness and efficient teamwork at our resort near Charleston, SC.

The role emphasizes ownership of processes, safety compliance per OSHA, and coordination with room attendants via radio and RGuest Service tablets. Strong English communication and background checks are required.

Qualifications

• High School graduate, or equivalent, is preferred.
• One year of supervisory or management experience is preferred.
• Must work both independently and in a team environment.
• Good to excellent communication skills in English both verbal and written.
• Ability to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Directs and assures the completion of all housekeeping tasks assigned to room attendants and house persons while maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness.
• Utilize the radio system and RGuest Service via a tablet to accept requests and pass along information to room attendants, as well as to receive updates from other departments.
• Assist guests as needed and work in a strong, team environment.
• Promotes minimum levels of skills and abilities that would create a positive outcome, in a hot or challenging work environment.
• Establishes and maintains a safe working environment according to OSHA regulations.
• Follows directions and performs tasks with attention to detail, speed, accuracy, and follow-through.
• Report any faulty equipment, linen shortages, maintenance needs, safety hazards and other problems immediately to the manager on duty.
• Must be able to motivate by example either on the production floor or in a classroom environment.
• Restock work areas for the next shift, as assigned.
• Upholds the core values and policies & procedures of the resort.
• All other duties, as assigned.
