Job summary

PACS is seeking a motivated housekeeping supervisor to lead the housekeeping team in a long-term care setting. You will coordinate staffing, supervise staff, conduct inspections, and ensure clean, safe environments for residents and staff.

Responsibilities include planning cleaning programs, managing supplies, training staff on chemical safety, and maintaining budgets and resident billing where applicable, while upholding safety standards and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Must have supervisory experience in housekeeping or facilities.
• Experience scheduling staff and coordinating shifts.
• Knowledge of cleaning programs and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Supervises housekeeping staff and coordinates staffing schedules to ensure cleaning of offices, public areas, residences, and grounds.
• Conducts regular inspections of resident and public areas.
• Plans and schedules cleaning programs, including move-in preparations and carpet cleaning.
• Monitors inventory levels and orders equipment and supplies for the department.
• Ensures safe handling of cleaning chemicals and compliance with safety standards (MSDS, OSHA, EPA).
• Trains staff and conducts department meetings; may assist with budget monitoring.
• Prepares resident charges/billing for housekeeping services where applicable.
• Maintains a safe working environment and equipment preservation.
