The role emphasizes intuitive, self documenting workflows adaptable to artists of varying skill levels. Applicants bring 8+ years of Houdini pipeline experience, strong Python skills, and a passion for efficient workflows.

Qualifications

• Proven experience writing Houdini pipeline code using Python.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Background as an FX artist using Houdini in production preferred.
• Hands-on experience with OpenUSD / Solaris.
• Experience with PDG / TOPs preferred.
• Understanding of object-oriented programming patterns.
• Comfortable with git and unit testing.

Responsibilities

• Solve complex problems in Houdini pipeline workflows
• Write high quality Python code that is easy to maintain and is well-tested
• Communicate with artists to identify areas of inefficiency and help gather their requirements
• Contribute to technical briefs and user documentation
