Job summary

Embassy Suites Orlando Lake Buena Vista South is seeking an energetic Chief Engineer to lead the engineering team and oversee hotel facilities. You will coordinate maintenance, manage budgets, and develop training programs to ensure high standards of upkeep across HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and equipment.

The role requires formal training in electrical/mechanical engineering and relevant EPA refrigeration certification, with experience in hotel facilities maintenance and project

Qualifications

• Two years of college or vocational training in electrical / mechanical engineering or equivalent experience.
• EPA certification for refrigerant reclamation and charging.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate the entire operation of the Engineering department.
• Hire, train, and develop the engineering team.
• Interact with other departments, guests and managers to ensure proper maintenance of the hotel.
• Coordinate maintenance schedules to minimize impact on other departments and guests.
• Develop and control expenses, budget, purchasing and invoice processing.
• Develop preventative maintenance programs for hotel and equipment.
• Supervise staff in maintaining room equipment, HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and kitchen appliances.
