Job summary

Arconic Corporation is seeking a Hot Rolling Mechanical/Process Engineer to provide technical leadership across Global Rolled Products manufacturing. You will optimize hot rolling operations, troubleshoot advanced equipment issues, and drive continuous improvement to safety, quality, productivity, and cost performance.

In this role you will partner with plant operations, engineering teams, vendors, and cross-functional stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years manufacturing or process engineering experience.
• Minimum of 3 years supporting hot rolling or metals processes.
• Experience with capital project planning, justification, and startup support.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and continuous improvement.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD or similar CAD software.

Responsibilities

• Optimize hot rolling processes and equipment to improve safety, quality, productivity, and capacity.
• Troubleshoot complex process and equipment issues at facilities.
• Lead cross-functional problem-solving teams and CI initiatives.
• Develop and deploy standard practices for hot rolling operations.
• Identify improvement opportunities and facilitate technology transfer across facilities.
• Maintain relationships with suppliers and monitor industry developments.
• Support capital improvement projects and prepare project estimates and justifications.
• Participate in technical assessments of facilities and equipment.
• Provide training and mentoring to manufacturing personnel.
• Manage external vendors and engineering service providers.
• Support process control and equipment reliability across locations.
