Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Sr Security Officer to oversee security personnel, enforce policies, and ensure safety for team members, patients and visitors. The role involves coordinating shift staffing, logging daily activity, and responding to emergencies across the medical center.

Required is a High School diploma or GED and at least 3 years in hospital security or law enforcement, plus strong communication and computer skills (MS Office, Google Suite).

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
• High School diploma or GED; 3 years hospital security or law enforcement experience.

Responsibilities

• Directs and oversees security officers in the performance of their duties.
• Performs staffing and scheduling of security personnel.
• Reviews daily activity logs and security incident reports.
• Investigates and documents all security incidents occurring on the shift.
• Responds to fire drills and codes; supports emergency management activities.
• Works across all areas of the Medical Center, including parking lots and outer buildings.
