Job summary

Berkeley Research Group, LLC (BRG) is seeking a Clinical Quality Managing Consultant to lead hospital quality improvement efforts and expert advisory work. You will analyze data, design improvement plans, and partner with clinical and operational leaders to elevate patient care.

Travel 50-75% is expected as projects require. A strong clinical background with experience in hospital settings and quality frameworks is essential for success in this role at BRG.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience in acute care quality, hospital regulatory reporting, infection prevention, or hospital performance improvement.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Public Health, Healthcare Administration, HIM, or related field.
• Advanced degree preferred but not required (MPH, MHA, MSN, MBA).
• CPHQ/CIC or Lean/Six Sigma certification preferred.
• Knowledge of CMS reporting programs, NHSN, and QualityNet data submission.

Responsibilities

• Serve as an expert on hospital quality, patient safety, and evidence-based practices.
• Analyze clinical quality data from CMS Care Compare, NHSN, QNet, and internal hospital systems to identify gaps.
• Design and implement client work plans addressing infection prevention, sepsis care, surgical quality, complications, and readmissions.
• Support regulatory readiness with State health departments, CMS, and other oversight bodies.
• Help hospitals improve performance on CMS Care Compare and other public reporting programs.
• Translate complex data into actionable insights for hospital leaders and frontline teams.
• Monitor progress and evaluate outcomes of improvement initiatives with quantitative and qualitative measures.
• Collaborate with nursing, physicians, quality, operations, and executives to align strategies.
• Facilitate cross-department collaboration to ensure adoption of best practices.
