Job summary

UofL Health is seeking an experienced plumber to install, repair, and maintain commercial/industrial plumbing systems across our Louisville facilities. You will read blueprints, braze and solder, and perform preventive maintenance to keep critical infrastructure running smoothly.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of related experience, a valid driver’s license, and preferably a Journeyman license along with KSHE Safe Day One or related certifications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Plumber apprenticeship or 2-year degree preferred.
• 5+ years commercial/industrial plumbing experience required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Journeyman license preferred.
• KSHE Safe Day One certification preferred.
• Med Gas and Backflow Prevention certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair and maintain plumbing fixtures and piping.
• Inspect and maintain hydronic and plumbing systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints and sketches.
• Braze, solder and use plumbing tools.
• Provide preventive maintenance and manage parts and supplies.
• Maintain HIPAA confidentiality and safety standards.
