Job summary
MaineGeneral Health is seeking a Senior Pharmacy Technician to join our team in Waterville, Maine. This role focuses on refilling and maintaining automated dispensing systems, preparing compounds, and managing orders and inventory within the pharmacy and related departments.
The ideal candidate will hold an active Maine pharmacy tech license and CPhT certification, with at least 1 year of hospital or retail pharmacy experience, strong math skills, superb communication, and solid computer
Qualifications
- Current State of Maine Pharmacy Tech license required.
- Current Pharmacy Technician Board Certification (CPhT) required.
- At least 1 year of pharmacy experience in a hospital or retail setting preferred.
- Extensive customer service experience.
- Excellent and demonstrated communication skills.
- Strong mathematical skills and attention to detail.
- Computer proficiency.
Responsibilities
- Refills and maintains automated dispensing systems.
- Prepares compounds within scope of practice.
- Prepares orders and maintains inventory for the pharmacy and other service departments.
- Performs quality assurance rounds to assure regulatory compliance.
