Job summary

Shriners Children's Hospital in Honolulu, HI, is seeking a Senior Maintenance Technician to perform carpentry, preventative maintenance, and repair of hospital systems. The role ensures a safe, reliable environment for staff, patients, and visitors and offers opportunities to grow skills within the facilities team.

Responsibilities include responding to maintenance requests, performing high-quality service on pumps, boilers, water heaters, and plumbing, and maintaining NFPA and Joint Commission

Qualifications

Experience in building maintenance or construction required.
Carpentry tasks including cabinets, stud walls, doors and hardware.
Commercial plumbing and refrigeration experience preferred.
Valid Hawaii driver's license required.
Hospital/Healthcare environment experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with the facilities team on repairs, maintenance, and equipment applications.
Respond to trouble calls and complete work orders promptly.
Maintain knowledge of NFPA and The Joint Commission codes and standards.
Perform preventative maintenance on pumps, boilers, water heaters, kitchen equipment, AHUs, refrigeration, and plumbing.
Review O&M manuals and maintain cost records with a CMMS.
Safety and accuracy in operating machinery and tools.
Additional duties and special projects as assigned.
