Job summary

UCI Health in Orange, CA is seeking a Senior Custodian to join our facilities team. Reporting to the EVS Manager, the role performs skilled cleaning, housekeeping and general maintenance across inpatient, outpatient and non-patient areas, ensuring safety and cleanliness.

The position requires flexibility to work nights, weekends and holidays, with emphasis on attention to detail, customer service, and adherence to hospital protocols while using supplies and equipment responsibly.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a service industry position.
• Experience interacting with internal and external customers.
• Ability to read, write and follow oral and written instructions in English.
• Ability to work in various locations, as well as rotating shifts including nights, weekends and holidays as needed.
• Demonstrated custodial experience in healthcare preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform skilled and semi-skilled cleaning and housekeeping in various hospital areas.
• Operate cleaning equipment and manage supplies safely.
• Strip, wax floors and perform carpet extraction/shampooing.
