Job summary

Banner Health in Sun City, AZ seeks a Senior Cook to plan daily food production and prepare fresh hot foods for production and retail services, including patient meals and café operations.

You will work in a fast-paced hospital kitchen, coordinate with dietitians for special diets, manage inventory and equipment, and help with stocking, cleaning and quality control. Weekend/holiday rotations may apply with shift differentials.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge.
• 2+ years of experience in institutional food production and production cooking.
• Ability to learn and follow established policies, read instructions, and perform recipe calculations.
• Food handlers' card required within 30 days for Banner Staffing Services.

Responsibilities

• Plans daily food production for assigned areas and prepares items from production sheets and menus.
• Prepares all food items according to recipes and adjusts quantities for yields.
• Maintains safety, checks temperatures, and logs food and equipment data.
• Keeps work areas clean, restocks supplies, and supports dishwashing and prep as needed.
