Job summary

Humana Inc. seeks a Senior Hospital Contracting Strategist/Negotiator to initiate, negotiate, and execute hospital and other provider contracts for CarePlus Health Plans. You will report to the Director, Provider Contracting and lead negotiations for hospital and health system agreements.

The role requires extensive managed care experience, Medicare knowledge, and the ability to analyze financial impact of terms. This remote position may require occasional travel to Humana offices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 5+ years of hospital negotiation experience in Medicare.
• 5+ years in network management with hospital contracting.
• Experience negotiating managed care contracts with hospitals.
• Ability to analyze financial impact and communicate terms.

Responsibilities

• Lead negotiations for hospital and health system agreements.
• Evaluate reimbursement methods and financial terms.
• Collaborate with Finance, Legal, Network Management to ensure sound contracts.
• Communicate contract terms and rates to providers.
• Maintain contracts and documentation in tracking systems.
• Identify and recruit providers based on network needs.
