Job summary

Plymouth Rock in Boston is seeking a Senior Claims Representative to manage complex residential homeowners claims across Metro West Boston. You will handle end-to-end adjustment including on-site inspections, vendor oversight, and reserve management in a high-severity, nuanced coverage environment.

The role requires 5+ years of homeowners property claims experience, Xactimate proficiency, and the ability to independently navigate multi-state regulations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in homeowners property claims including high-severity losses.
• Strong coverage interpretation, investigation, and settlement strategy.
• Xactimate proficiency required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to work independently across a geographically diverse territory.
• Strong organizational and decision-making skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and claims systems.
• Ability to obtain and maintain adjuster licensure and continuing education.
• Physical ability to carry up to 25 lbs and conduct roof inspections on homes fewer than two stories.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Investigate, evaluate, and resolve complex homeowners claims from assignment through settlement.
• Apply advanced coverage analysis and judgment in claim resolution including disputed coverage or large losses.
• Manage a lower volume inventory requiring in-depth investigation and planning.
• Conduct on-site inspections to assess damages, scope, causation and coverage.
• Prepare detailed Xactimate estimates and communicate scope of loss and settlement rationale.
• Proactively manage customer expectations on complex or extended claims.
• Direct vendors and inspections and oversee mitigation providers.
• Establish and adjust claim reserves based on exposure and severity.
• Adjust homeowners claims across all states Plymouth Rock operates in.
• Support less experienced adjusters and contribute to process improvements.
• Represent the company professionally with a strong customer focus.

In this role, you will manage complex,higher‑severity residential homeowners property claims across a n assigned geographic territory (Metro West Boston).This position is intended for an experienced claims professional who routinely handles nuanced coverage issues, investigation, elevated exposures, and sensitive claim scenarios.The Senior Claims Representativeis responsible for the end‑to‑endadjustment of complex homeowners property claims, including on‑site inspections, vendor oversight, reserve management, and resolution of coverage.

Responsibilities

• Independently investigate, evaluate, and resolve complex and high severity homeowners property claims from assignment through settlement
• Apply advanced coverage analysis and judgment in claim resolution, including disputed coverage or large loss scenarios
• Manage a select, lower volume inventory requiring in‑depth investigation and strategic planning
• Conduct on‑site inspections to assess damages, determine scope, causation, and coverage
• Prepare detailed Xactimate estimates and clearly communicate scope of loss and settlement rationale
• Proactively manage customer expectations, particularly on complex or extended duration claims
• Assign, direct, and oversee vendors, mitigation providers, and inspections
• Establish and adjust appropriate claim reserves based on exposure and severity
• Adjust homeowners property claims in all states where Plymouth Rock conducts business
• Serve as a resource to less experienced adjusters and contribute to continuous improvement efforts
• Represent the company with professionalism and a strong customer focus

Qualifications

• 5+ years of homeowners property claims experience, including higher severity or complex losses
• Strong proficiency in coverage interpretation, investigation, and settlement strategy
• Xactimate expertise required
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proven ability to work independently across a geographically diverse territory
• Strong organizational and decision‑making skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and claims systems
• Ability to obtain and maintain required adjuster licensure and continuing education
• Physical ability to carry up to 25 lbs and conduct roof inspections on homes fewer than two stories
• Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record

Preferred Qualifications

• Xactimate certification
• Multi-state adjuster licenses
• CAT or large-loss experience
• Industry designations (AIC, CPCU, SCLA)
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent professional experience

Salary Range: $79,000 - $103,000 a year. Actual compensation will vary based on multiple factors, including employee knowledge and experience, role scope, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.
