Job summary

North Highland Care at Home Service is recruiting a Senior Health and Social Care Support Worker to join the integrated Care at Home team in Caithness. The role involves delivering holistic care in clients' own homes, with a focus on independence and dignity.

Part-time with 17.5 hours per week; the post is on Band 3 (£29,013–£31,409 pro rata) and includes NHS Scotland benefits. Training is provided with opportunities for progression and a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Willingness to work towards SVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care
• Understanding of person-centred care and safeguarding
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (travel expenses available)

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care and person-centred support in clients' homes
• Assist with personal care, medication support, continence, nutrition and mobility
• Support service users to maintain independence, dignity and wellbeing
• Collaborate with nurses, social workers and allied health professionals
• Maintain accurate care records and documentation
• Follow NHS Highland policies and safeguarding procedures
