Visiting Angels of Birmingham is seeking a compassionate Companion Caregiver to support seniors in the local area, including Calera, Birmingham, Alabaster and surrounding communities. You will provide in-home care to help clients stay at home with dignity and independence.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent time-management skills.
• Reliable transportation to client visits.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with basic housekeeping and cooking tasks.
• Must pass a background check and drug screen.
• Training/knowledge in First Aid and emergency response.
• A heart for vulnerable people seeking companionship.

Responsibilities

• Assist with light housekeeping and meal planning.
• Encourage clients to meet exercise goals and stay active.
• Support medication reminders and health monitoring.
• Assist with shopping and errands for clients.
• Plan and prepare meals in collaboration with clients.
• Assist with mobility and transportation to appointments.
