Job summary

Luxoft is seeking a Senior Hogan ODS Developer to support clients' Hogan ODS installations and related programs. Responsibilities include coding, testing, debugging, and documenting complex Hogan ODS systems, plus designing solutions from specifications and creating thorough documentation.

The role requires 10+ years Hogan ODS experience, extensive IBM mainframe exposure (COBOL/JCL/DB2/Assembler), and the ability to work both in a team and independently.

Qualifications

• Substantial knowledge of Hogan ODS (Online Delivery System).
• Experience with Hogan process dictionary components and PCDs.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 10+ years Hogan ODS programming or testing experience.
• Banking industry knowledge (plus).
• Relational databases experience to support programming.
• 6+ years IBM mainframe experience, COBOL, JCL, DB2 and Assembler (a plus).
• Ability to work in a team or independently.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for design, creation and testing.
• Strong interpersonal skills for customer and teammate interaction.

Job description

Support client's projects and initiatives related to their installation of Hogan ODS.

Responsibilities

• Principal Duties and Essential Functions:
• . Codes, tests, debugs, implements, and documents highly complex Hogan ODS programs. Develops complex test plans to verify logic of new or modified programs
• . Designs systems and programs to meet highly complex business needs. Prepares detailed specifications from which programs are developed and coded. Creates appropriate documentation in work assignments such as program code, and technical documentation
• Gathers information from existing systems, analyzes program and time requirements. Assists project manager in preparing time estimates and justification for assigned tasks.
• Supports project personnel in resolving fairly complex program problems. Works with client and management to resolve issues and validate programming requirements within their areas of responsibility. Provides technical advice on complex programming
• Quickly transition into and adapt to a client environment
• Estimate and scoping of work for a project

• Minimum 6 years experience with IBM mainframe and environment, COBOL, IBM's Job Control Language, programming, DB2 and Assembler (a plus)
