Job summary

Fulgent Genetics, through Inform Diagnostics, is seeking a Histotech III to prepare slides for microscopic evaluation under supervision. The role involves routine histology tasks, immunohistochemistry, and maintaining compliant labeling and records.

The candidate should have 5+ years in histology, a high school diploma (bachelor's preferred), and HT/HTL certification or eligibility. Overtime may be required; strong teamwork and adherence to safety are essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; a Bachelor's in Biological Sciences preferred.
• HT/HTL (ASCP) certification preferred.
• 5+ years of histology experience required.
• Familiarity with microtomy, staining, and slide labeling.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine histology including specimen processing, embedding, slide preparation, microtomy, staining, and immunohistochemistry.
• Maintains diagnostic viability of all specimens and ensures correct patient labeling; prints labels and verifies case numbers.
• Records slides and stains in laboratory logs and the surgical pathology computer system.
• Performs routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment; documents repairs or tests.
• Follows laboratory safety protocols and quality control procedures.
