Qualifications

• Broad knowledge of biological sciences and skills to process anatomic pathology specimens.
• Ability to diagnose deviations in test performance due to instrument malfunction.
• Provides authoritative advice and consultation for complex, emerging tests.

Responsibilities

• Provides authoritative advice and consultation for difficult, complex tests.
• Research, develop, test and optimize histochemical stains, immunohistochemistry protocols and ISH protocols.
• Oversees workflow distribution and balance to maintain efficiency; troubleshoots specialized lab tests and equipment.
• Maintains and calibrates laboratory equipment; performs preventive maintenance.
• Communicates effectively as a healthcare team member.
• Ensures biosafety and biosecurity practices in the workplace.
