Job summary

HDR, Inc. is seeking a Senior Highways Project Manager in Charlotte, NC to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage complex highway and bridge projects. You will oversee staffing, budgets, client relations and QA/QC processes, driving projects from initiation to close-out.

The role requires a PE license, a strong track record in project management, and experience with MS Office and MS Project. Local candidates are preferred, and the employee-owned culture shapes collaboration across HDR's

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• 10 years related experience.
• Minimum 5 years project management experience.
• Requires professional engineering license (PE or P.Eng).
• MS Office and MS Project experience (Access experience would be a plus).
• Demonstrated leadership, business development and strategic planning skills.
• Active participation in employee-owned culture.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate work of single or multidiscipline teams throughout the project's lifecycle (from development & initiation to close-out).
• Responsible for all aspects of multidiscipline projects of all sizes and degrees of technical complexity.
• Manage and coordinate several projects concurrently.
• Establish and maintain client relations, and be involved with marketing, contractual, design and production meetings.
• Coordinate staffing and workload through entire project life cycle, and ensure completion of deliverables on schedule.
• Track financial aspects of projects, and coordinate and adjust work effort with team to ensure that work is completed within parameters of agreed-to budget and schedule.
• Work with the Accounting, Operational and Business leadership for periodic project reviews.
• Implement QA/QC procedures.
• Supervise project staff and act as mentor for less-experienced Project Managers.
• Perform other duties as needed.
