Job summary

VHB’s New Hampshire Highway team is seeking a Senior Highway/Roadway Project Manager to lead complex transportation projects across New Hampshire. You’ll guide multidisciplinary teams from concept through advertising, coordinating with clients including NHDOT, municipalities, and regional agencies to deliver safe, efficient roadways and multimodal infrastructure.

This role emphasizes mentorship, adherence to NH DOT standards, and delivering projects on schedule and within budget.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering or related field required.
• 11+ years of roadway/highway design experience.
• 5+ years in management of highway/roadway design projects.
• Current NH PE license or ability to obtain NH licensure within six months.
• Experience with state DOT and federally funded projects; familiarity with NHDOT standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead large, multidisciplinary highway and roadway reconstruction projects in New Hampshire.
• Mentor junior staff in highway design per NH standards.
• Manage delivery from planning through design and construction administration.
• Lead pre-design planning and financial management for NH pursuits.
• Coordinate with NH DOT, municipalities, utilities and stakeholders.
