STV is seeking a Senior Highway Design Task Lead to join our dynamic Chicago Transportation Group. You will lead major projects, mentor junior staff, and serve as a technical expert in a collaborative, flexible environment.
What You'll Do at STV
- Lead and produce high-quality highway/roadway design plans that meet client expectations and adhere to budgets and schedules
- Serve as the go-to technical resource for internal staff and provide guidance on design standards and best practices
- Collaborate with external design disciplines to ensure seamless project integration
- Oversee technical execution and maintain accountability across multiple projects
- Assist project managers with planning, budgeting, and client coordination
- Supervise and mentor engineers, CAD staff, and junior team members
- Manage multiple concurrent projects under tight deadlines while maintaining quality standards
- Stay current with IDOT/Tollway guidelines and evolving design procedures
What We are Seeking in Our Candidates
- BS in Civil Engineering
- PE in Illinois
- 10+ years in highway design; familiar with IDOT/Tollway standards
- Proficiency in MicroStation, Geopak, InRoads, or OpenRoads Designer
