Job summary

Modjeski and Masters, Inc. seeks an experienced Highway Design Project Manager in Miami, FL to lead multi-discipline highway projects for FDOT and local agencies.

The role requires a Florida-registered Professional Engineer with 15+ years of FDOT experience, strong leadership, and proficiency in MicroStation and OpenRoad Designer. You will oversee planning, design, and delivery from concept through construction, mentor junior engineers, and maintain strong client relationships with FDOT

Qualifications

• Registered PE in Florida and 15+ years FDOT experience.
• BS in Civil Engineering with highway/transportation emphasis from ABET-accredited school.
• Experience managing multi-discipline highway/bridge projects and client relationships with FDOT Districts Four and Six.
• Proficient in MicroStation and Bentley OpenRoad Designer; familiar with AASHTO standards.

Responsibilities

• Pursue and win highway design projects with FDOT and local agencies.
• Lead and manage multiple projects and project teams within budget and schedule.
• Develop preliminary details using CAD tools and guide CAD technicians and junior engineers.
• Lead planning, design, and delivery of highway projects from concept to construction.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and agencies to ensure project success.
• Provide technical oversight for roadway geometry, drainage, traffic control, and related design elements.
• Mentor junior engineers and foster collaboration.
