Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressively increasing responsibility in heavy civil construction.
• 5+ years of experience on the Caltrans State Highway System.

Responsibilities

• Inspect each stage of construction ensuring compliance with codes.
• Monitor construction sites for safety violations and prepare reports.
• Conduct quality surveillance as necessary.
• Ensure jobsite traffic control conforms with plans.
• Coordinate preparation of inspection survey reports.

Skills

Knowledge of Caltrans Standard Plans

Knowledge of roadway construction inspection

Experience with Microsoft Office

Knowledge of Storm Water Pollution Prevention Program

Valid California Class C driver's license

Cal-OSHA/OSHA 30-hour training certification

Education

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field

EIT or FE Certification
