Job summary

Hill International Inc. in Valencia, California, is seeking a Construction Inspector to monitor safety per CalOSHA, coordinate with survey and testing staff, and generate daily inspection reports documenting contractor work.

Responsibilities include inspecting earthwork, drainage, paving, SWPPP, MOT, wall and bridge work; ensuring materials meet contract requirements, coordinating inspections, and providing quantity calculations for monthly pay estimates. Night shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of construction inspection experience on Caltrans highway projects.
• Lead inspectors must have ten years of Caltrans highway project experience.
• Bridge inspectors should monitor prestressing, inspect falsework/shoring, and be familiar with Caltrans manuals.

Responsibilities

• Monitor Contractor's operations to ensure work is safe and CalOSHA compliant.
• Coordinate with project survey, material testing staff, and stakeholders (utility companies, local agencies, CHP, Caltrans).
• Generate daily inspection reports documenting contractor work; submit reports daily.
