Job summary

Omni Design is seeking a Senior Analog/Mixed-Signal Design Engineer in Milpitas, CA to lead high-performance ADC/DAC development from specification through layout supervision, silicon evaluation and market introduction. You will design transistor-level circuits, validate with bench tests, and collaborate with global teams to ensure reliability, ESD/EM designs, and manufacturability.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in high-performance analog/mixed-signal IC development.
• Experience with ADC/DAC design techniques and building blocks.
• Proven track record taking designs to production.
• Experience with evaluating silicon on bench and lab equipment.
• Strong transistor-level circuit design, noise and mismatch analysis.
• Experience with behavioral modeling or digital control synthesis.
• Familiar with Cadence, Virtuoso, Spectre, or HSPICE.
• MATLAB understanding preferred but not mandatory.
• Layout parasitic extraction and layout-dependent impairments familiarity.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to work with distributed teams.
• Self-motivated, proactive, able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Design high-performance ADCs/DACs from spec through evaluation.
• Perform transistor-level design and supervise layout.
• Evaluate silicon on bench and characterize devices.
• Collaborate with teams across locations to ensure reliability and manufacturability.
• Address electromigration and ESD considerations in designs.
• Mentor junior engineers and share knowledge.
