Job summary

AbbVie is seeking a physician-lead to oversee direction, planning, and interpretation of clinical development programs across multiple assets. You will work with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality data supporting product strategy.

Responsibilities include designing and overseeing studies, ensuring safety and efficacy data integrity, and coordinating with Medical Affairs and Regulatory. Excellent English communication and a robust background in clinical trials are required.

Qualifications

• Medical Doctor (M.D.) or D.O. or non-US equivalent in an academic or hospital environment; residency preferred.
• At least 2 years of clinical trial experience in pharma, academia, or equivalent.
• Ability to run a clinical research program with minimal supervision.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration and global team interaction.
• Knowledge of trial methodology and regulatory requirements; experience with study protocols.
• Excellent spoken and written English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversees the direction, planning, execution, and interpretation of clinical trials or research activities for development programs.
• Designs and oversees studies, monitors data integrity, and ensures safety and efficacy reporting.
• Reports on regulatory submissions, scientific content, and study results to stake holders.
• May supervise Medical Directors/Scientists and coordinate with internal partners on translational strategies.
• Provides clinical expertise and participates in cross-functional meetings to align strategy.
• Stays current with regulatory and quality standards, ensuring GCP compliance.
