Job summary

Heidelberg Materials is seeking a Superintendent for Heavy Highway Construction in Frazer, PA to lead projects from planning through closeout, driving safety, schedule adherence, quality, and profitability. You will manage project documentation, coordinate with subcontractors, municipalities, and internal teams, and build strong customer relationships while ensuring successful execution.

A Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or 5+ years of PM experience in heavy/highway is required,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of project management experience in heavy/highway construction.
• Experience working with municipalities and agency processes.
• Strong leadership, decision-making and customer service in fast-paced environments.
• Proficient with word processing and spreadsheet software.

Responsibilities

• Lead heavy/highway construction projects from planning through closeout.
• Manage project documentation, change orders, and job cost impacts.
• Oversee subcontractors and field operations for compliance and cost control.
• Coordinate and lead project meetings with estimators, subcontractors, municipalities, and internal teams.
• Build and maintain relationships with customers, municipalities, and governmental agencies.
• Manage labor resources, including union coordination and field direction.
