Job summary

UIC Sanatu in Nome, AK is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator with a strong background in earthmoving and supervision. You will operate graders, loaders, backhoes, and excavators to excavate, move, and grade earth, while directing other operators and laborers on a busy job site.

This role requires reading plans, coordinating with the Project Superintendent and subcontractors, and maintaining safety standards under OSHA.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of heavy equipment operating experience.
• At least 5 years of supervisory experience on earthwork.
• Experience with non-residential construction projects.
• Experience installing sewers, water lines, and underground utilities.

Responsibilities

• Excavate to specified grades using heavy equipment.
• Supervise material delivery and export by coordinating with trucking operators and suppliers.
• Coordinate and schedule earthmoving operations with the Project Superintendent.
• Complete work within established timeframes and budget constraints.
• Tend pumps, compressors, or generators to power tools and equipment.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Project Superintendent.
