Job summary

STG Inc. in Alaska seeks a Heavy Equipment Operator to join our on-site crew on Prince of Wales Island.

You will safely operate excavators, dump trucks, dozers, loaders, and skid-steers, perform preventative maintenance, and support site preparation and general construction tasks. Candidates must have a HS diploma or GED, 5+ years of construction experience, a valid driver's license, and the ability to work extended hours in remote locations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Five+ years of related construction experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license and ability to pass drug, driving, and background checks.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy construction equipment in rural Alaska and extreme weather conditions.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain equipment and logs.
• Read grade stakes and basic plans for equipment operation.
• Collaborate with multiple trades to support project execution.
• Report to the Project Foreman and assist with maintenance.
