Job summary

Sunrock is seeking a highly skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our grading and utility operations team in North Carolina. This expert-level role requires 5+ years of experience or 10,000+ hours operating heavy equipment in civil construction.

You will work on complex sitework tasks with minimal supervision. You will operate excavators, dozers, motor graders, loaders, skid steers, and trenchers; perform precise finish grades; interpret grade stakes and GPS control; and lead by example in

Qualifications

• 5+ years OR 10,000+ hours of heavy equipment operation in grading/utility construction
• Finish and fine grading expertise required
• Strong understanding of elevations, slopes, and grade stakes
• Ability to operate multiple equipment types with high skill
• North Carolina Driver's License preferred

Responsibilities

• Operate excavators, dozers, graders, loaders, and trenchers to expert levels
• Perform finish and fine grading for sitework and utilities
• Interpret grade stakes and GPS grade control
• Lead by example in production, quality, and safety
• Mentor less experienced operators and coordinate with foremen
