Job summary

WM is hiring a Heavy Equipment Operator III in Lithia, FL. The role involves operating heavy machinery such as bulldozers, scrapers, and front-end loaders at our sites, with a focus on safety and reliability.

The position includes stable hours, competitive pay, and comprehensive benefits. On-site work at the Landfill in Lithia, FL, with a schedule of Monday to Friday and every other Saturday, 6:00am–6:30pm, and possible overnight outages during county powerplant events.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience operating heavy equipment.
• Be over 18 years of age.
• Legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Successfully complete and pass pre-employment drug screen and physical.
• Preferred experience: dozer, compactor, excavator, and ADT.

Responsibilities

• Operates heavy equipment in compliance with safety policies and procedures.
• Moves and positions raw materials and finished components with material moving equipment.
• Follow appropriate standard operating procedures for operating and maintaining vehicle.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
