Job summary

Apex Plumbing Pros is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator to join our excavation team in Central Ohio. You will safely operate heavy equipment, including backhoes and mini excavators, for sewer and water service repairs and replacements.

The ideal candidate is safety-focused, dependable, and committed to high-quality workmanship while delivering excellent customer service on residential and commercial sites.

Qualifications

• Experience operating heavy equipment in construction or utility environments.
• Comfortable operating an E-35 Excavator.
• Experience with trenchless water, sewer, or gas line work is a plus.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate heavy equipment on residential/commercial job sites.
• Perform excavation for sewer and water service repairs/replacements.
• Follow OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
• Collaborate with excavation crews to complete projects safely and efficiently.
• Load, unload, transport, and secure equipment per guidelines.
• Inspect and maintain excavation equipment.
