Job summary

Dobbs Equipment, LLC is seeking an experienced Service Technician to diagnose, repair, recondition and maintain heavy equipment and components for customers and the dealership.

The role involves field and shop work, following safety rules, keeping records, assisting in training helpers, and reporting to the Service Manager. Candidates should have a valid driver's license, knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems, and the ability to work up to 12-hour days and weekends as needed.

Qualifications

  • Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record.
  • Knowledge of industrial equipment maintenance and operation.
  • Ability to perform basic repairs and required maintenance using Technical Manual procedures.
  • Ability to operate heavy equipment safely around shop.

Responsibilities

  • Follow safety rules and regulations while performing work.
  • Recondition, repair, service, and assemble machines/equipment.
  • Diagnose problems and determine required repairs.
  • Maintain records for time, parts, and supplies.
  • Report to Service Manager any additional work needed.
  • Assist in directing work of helpers and trainees.
  • Complete dis-assembly and inspection for parts ordering and scheduling.
  • Maintain a neat, safe, and orderly work area.
  • Communicate any unsafe tools or equipment to the Service Manager.
  • Represent the dealership professionally at all times.
