Job summary

TEC Equipment is seeking a Service Technician 2, Leasing in Sacramento. The role focuses on performing preventative maintenance, diagnosing and repairing heavy-duty trucks, with access to in-house advanced training. You will document services, ensure safety compliance, and maintain a clean, organized work area.

You should have extensive experience with 6 & 8 truck classes, diesel systems, and diagnostics. CDL is preferred but not required; on-site day shifts are available with competitive

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of practical experience in commercial 6 & 8 truck classes.
• Proficient in preventative maintenance services such as oil & transmission changes and replacement of lights and sensors.
• Proficient in the repair and diagnosis of diesel engines, cab components, hydraulic systems, steering systems, and brakes.
• Proficient in use of diagnostic software and tools; input vehicle maintenance records.
• Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections and diagnostics to troubleshoot and repair trucks.
• Perform routine and preventative maintenance; replace worn parts and major components.
• Troubleshoot with diagnostic software for charging systems, brakes, suspensions, and A/C.
• Maintain vehicle records by annotating services and repairs.
• Meet shop quality and efficiency standards and stay on task.
