Job summary

Battle Motors is seeking an experienced Service Technician in Detroit to diagnose and repair medium-heavy duty trucks. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years hands-on experience and strong knowledge of truck systems; ASE certification is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities include using advanced diagnostic tools, interpreting schematics, performing system evaluations, and ensuring repairs meet quality standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of verifiable experience in medium-heavy duty truck repair.
• Expertise in electrical/electronic system diagnostics.
• Proficient in hydraulic and pneumatic system troubleshooting.
• Experience with modern diagnostic equipment and software.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding work.

Responsibilities

• Utilize advanced diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Interpret schematics and results to determine repair solutions.
• Perform system evaluations to identify root causes of malfunctions.
• Execute repairs on powertrains, electrical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
• Conduct preventive maintenance inspections and services.
• Verify repair quality through testing and validation.
