Job summary

You will perform full-cycle estimating from takeoff to bid submission and work closely with operations.

Candidates read plans and specs, use Bluebeam, HCSS or HeavyBid for takeoffs, and analyze costs for labor, materials, and equipment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of estimating experience in heavy civil or structural construction.
• Ability to read and interpret plans, specs, and structural drawings.
• Experience with takeoff and estimating software (Bluebeam, HCSS, HeavyBid, or similar).
• Solid understanding of production rates, means & methods, and cost drivers.
• Experience on DOT/public agency projects is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform full-cycle estimating from takeoff to bid submission.
• Conduct quantity takeoffs (concrete, rebar, formwork, excavation, etc.).
• Coordinate subcontractor and vendor outreach, bid analysis, and leveling.
• Analyze costs for labor, materials, equipment, and production rates.
• Review plans, specs, geotechnical reports, and project risks.
• Contribute to value engineering and cost-saving strategies.
