The ideal candidate has 5+ years of heavy civil estimating experience, strong reading of plans and specs, and proficiency with takeoff software like Bluebeam, HCSS or HeavyBid.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of estimating experience in heavy civil or structural construction.
• Experience reading plans, specs and structural drawings.
• Experience with takeoff/estimating software (Bluebeam, HCSS, HeavyBid or similar).
• Ability to assess production rates, costs and bid risk.

Responsibilities

• Provide full-cycle estimating from takeoff to bid submission.
• Perform quantity takeoffs for concrete, rebar, formwork, excavation, and related items.
• Outreach to subcontractors and vendors for bid analysis and cost verification.
• Analyze labor, materials, equipment costs and production rates to support bids.
• Review plans, specs, geotechnical reports and project risks to inform estimates.
• Contribute to value engineering and cost-saving strategies.
• Coordinate bid packaging and proposals with project managers and field teams.
