Job summary

KLA Industries in Orange County, California is seeking a Structures Estimator - Heavy Civil to price complex structural scopes including bridges, concrete structures, water treatment facilities, and transportation-related infrastructure. You will own full-cycle estimating from takeoff to bid submission and work closely with operations to ensure successful project execution.

Qualifications

• 5+ years estimating in heavy civil or structural construction.
• Experience with DOT/public agency projects is a strong plus.
• Ability to read and interpret plans, specs, and structural drawings.
• Experience with takeoff and estimating software (Bluebeam, HCSS, HeavyBid) required.

Responsibilities

• Full-cycle estimating from takeoff to bid submission.
• Quantity takeoffs (concrete, rebar, formwork, excavation).
• Subcontractor and vendor outreach, bid analysis and optimization.
• Cost analysis for labor, materials, equipment, and rates.
• Review of plans, specs, geotechnical reports, and risks.
• Bid packaging and coordination with project managers and field teams.
