Job summary

Cambia Health is seeking an Underwriter I, II, III, or Senior for a hybrid role with three days in the office across Salt Lake City, Boise, Portland, and other offices. The team underwrites group eligibility and risk, assigns rates, and supports responsible, person-focused health care pricing.

Bachelor’s degree in business, math, or statistics is required, with progression by experience. Expect a collaborative environment with strong data skills and use of Excel and related tools.

Qualifications

• Underwriter I: Bachelor's degree in business, math, statistics, or related discipline.
• Underwriter II: Bachelor's degree in business, math, statistics, or related discipline and a minimum of 3 years of related experience.
• Underwriter III: Bachelor's degree in business, math, statistics, or related discipline and a minimum of 5 years of related experience.
• Senior: Bachelor's degree in business, math, statistics, or related discipline and a minimum of 8 years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Follow underwriting guidelines, policies, procedures, and formulas in developing and assigning rates for new and renewal groups.
• Verify employer eligibility to purchase and renew group products, ensuring participation requirements are met.
• Audit new and renewing groups to ensure compliance with underwriting guidelines.
• Maintain complete and accurate records in underwriting systems.
• Prepare memos and communicate changes in rates or benefits.
