Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; college or vocational education preferred.
• Prior healthcare security, contract security and/or law enforcement experience is highly preferred.
• Must pass a criminal background check and have a valid driver's license.
• Basic certification by International Association for Healthcare Security and Safety within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Enforce Sanford policies and procedures and patrol facility grounds.
• Monitor conduct of visitors and respond to requests for assistance.
• Prepare incident reports and maintain records pertinent to security activities.
• Prioritize calls by urgency based on safety needs.
• Work in high-stress situations and de‑escalate; may carry a firearm as required.
